Hi... This week has been interesting.

Monday- I got my year end review & bonus.

Tuesday- I worked a 1/2 day. Then had holiday lunch with one of the litigation groups in which I practice. It was nice. I had crab cakes & drank.

Today- I will work a 1/2 day, then have holiday lunch with one of the other litigation groups in which I practice. I fully anticipate more drinking.

Tomorrow- I will work another 1/2 day. Then we have the whole office Christmas party. It will be a sit-down thing at a local hotel. There will certainly be drinking.

Friday-Saturday-Sunday-Monday- OFF.... Ok... 3 guesses what one of the major things I will be doing?????

Oh... Merry Christmas to anyone who reads this but especially, Roxi, gigi, ell, stacy and blue- you all have made me feel welcome on blogger (sorry if I forgot anyone... I'm not the brightest bulb with all this drinking). Also, I noticed Blue deleted her blog. I hope she has a merry Christmas & continues to tell me her law school stories.

I am just about done with my Christmas shopping. I don’t have too many people to buy for, so it’s not too bad.

Mom & Dad: Sent them to Florida to visit my deadbeat brother. In years past, I have gone with them. Of course, I never stayed at my brother’s place... it would be far too crowed. However there is a nice place not far called the Shell Point Resort. Works much better for me... don’t need to all crowded in-n-stuff. The place is nice & has unlimited golf with your rooms. Drop the folks off at DBB place, then I’m off. Golf all day. Meet-up with the family for dinner. Then before you know it... “boy I’m tired... I’m gonna head back to the hotel...” I forgot to mention that right between my brother’s place & the resort is where all the strip clubs are, didn’t I? (just a coincidence, I swear!!!)

Rent-a-Kids: I have 3 little cousins, well actually, first cousins twice removed. But anyway, they are the welfare part of the family. 2 girls & 1 boy. They really have nothing. I like to get the girls gift certificates for a nice department store here (Kaufamnn’s) They never shop anywhere but Wal-Mart & Goodwill. I have to actually give the certificates to their Grandma, cuz I’m afraid that their Mom would sell them for crack or something. Grandma takes them out on the 26th & they can’t wait to call to tell me what they bought. The boy likes to go to the book store.

Rich Cousin’s Kids: I don’t spend nearly as much on these kids as the others. They get everything they want anyway. I try to get them stuff we can all do together. This year we gonna build model rockets. I bought all the launch stuff & a different rocket for everyone, including me. That way, when the real adults are talking, all us kids will go to the game room & build our rockets.

KL (My secretary): haven’t got her’s yet. Don’t know what to get her ever. I usually get her a gift certificate too, then plead... “hey... I’m a single, straight guy... what the heck do I know about getting gifts?”

That’s basically it. I have a few friends I will get booze and/or golf balls for, ya know...

OK, here it is 2:15 PM & I’m in the office, but just can’t work.

Me & one of my bosses (yes there are many...) drove out by the airport, to Quaker Steak & Lube for wings. It’s a good 20-25 min drive from downtown. We ate a ton of wings & drank some beer. We wrote it off as a strategy meeting. My primary boss is “working from home today” (ie... off). I am lacking so much motivation it is unbelievable!!! I have spend more time on this blog thing today than I have the last 2 weeks.

At least my office is near the back door... if I time it right, I can sneak out the back door & no one will know...

I hope it snows some much tonight I can’t work tomorrow too!!!

This weekend was pretty unproductive, even for me.

Saturday, I wanted to spend some time with my friend M. Her father died last Monday. She had to drive back from training in Indiana Tuesday. I went down to spend some time with her Wednesday, but was in trial, so it was limited. Anyway, Saturday, I helped her with some paperwork, them we set to drinking. We went to the little local bar I’ve mentioned before, the Creek. The crowd was the usual. T, the bartender, got a little drunk after her shift & was showing everyone her boobs. The floor show can be worth the price of admission. All that said, M was ok. Her dad had been very sick for a long while and, despite the pain of losing a parent, she was happy he was with his wife again.

Well, M & I had discussing playing this indoor virtual reality golf in the morning. But there was a little too much hangover going around. We ended up at the Creek again by the time the Steelers game came on. Bobby B was there & T was tending bar again, but no boob shots, at least while I was there. I had a couple beers but was not on the mood to drink. (go figure...)

So, I talked smack to Goofy Ass Emotional Chick, Stacy over the Bengals-Steelers match-up. The Steelers lost to the better team. Carson Palmer & Rudi Johnson played great. The Steelers had too many turnovers & let them have good field position on special teams. The only good things for the Steelers was the defensive back field played very good, including shutting down Chad Johnson. It looks likely I will need to wear a Carson Palmer Jersey on my blog to satisfy my bet with Stacy.

Ok...

So my attempt to post the quiz thing below clearly shows my total inability to blog... It's ok, I comfortable with that. If everyone was a blogging wizbang, how would you good bloggers ever stand out.

Anyway, my trial is over. It was kinda fun. It's my stage, it's where I dance.
